My son a student of class VIII got admission to a new school this year. The new school wanted the PEN number to be de-enrolled from previous school in UDISE so that they can enroll him. But they found that the previous school where he completed Grade - VII has not enrolled his PEN to their UDISE. What should I do now, as the new school now allowing to get enrolled in Class VIII.

Dear @Babani

To raise concern about hurdles with your son’s enrollment in Class VIII due to lack of PEN in UDISE, you can file a complaint against the school with the **Education Department of your state government** through the [state’s public grievance portal](https://citizen.complainthub.org/t/where-can-you-file-complaints-against-government-offices-departments-and-public-services/104).

You can also contact the school affiliation board responsible for the previous school’s affiliation. They may be able to intervene and help ensure your son’s PEN is properly registered.
