Important Safety Warning: Beware of the “Fake Ticket Refund Scam.” Scammers frequently buy ads on Google displaying fake BookMyShow customer service helplines. This is a scam. BookMyShow staff will never ask you to download a screen-sharing app (like AnyDesk) or ask for your UPI PIN to process a “refund.”
Level 1: Customer Support (Initial Complaint)
How to complain: Navigate to the ‘Help & Support’ section (or Profile > Purchase History) on the BookMyShow mobile app or website. Use the Live Chat for the fastest response. You can also call their official helpline at 022-61445050. You must ensure you receive a unique ticket or reference number.
Availability: In-app Live Chat and the phone helpline operate 24/7.
Timeline: BookMyShow’s policy states that the Level 1 team will address your concern within 3 days.
Level 2: Internal Escalation (Escalations Desk)
Who to contact: If your query is not resolved within 3 days by the Level 1 team, you must escalate it internally. Write an email to escalations@bookmyshow.com, clearly stating your original booking ID and Level 1 reference number.
Timeline: The Escalations team is mandated to revert to you within 2 days.
Level 3: Grievance Officer (Sr. Manager - Customer Experience)
Who to contact: If the Escalations Desk fails to resolve your issue within 2 days, you must escalate to the Grievance Officer (currently Ms. Nivedita Poonekar). Email your formal grievance to allears@bookmyshow.com.
Timeline: The Grievance Officer shall respond within 1 day.
Level 4: Final Internal Escalation (Nodal Officer)
Who to contact: In the unlikely event that your concern remains unresolved by the Grievance Officer, you must take it up with the highest internal authority: the Nodal Officer (currently Mr. Kapil Kirti). You must email your appeal to nodalofficer@bookmyshow.com. Written legal notices must be sent via physical post to their corporate headquarters: Customer Grievance Officer, Bigtree Entertainment Private Limited, Ground Floor, Wajeda House, Gulmohar Cross Road No. 7, Juhu Scheme, Andheri West, Mumbai, Maharashtra – 400049.
Timeline: The Nodal Officer will respond within 1 day.
Level 5: Legal Action (Final Step)
Pre-Litigation: If BookMyShow’s Nodal Officer rejects your claim, or the company fails to refund a canceled premium event, you have exhausted internal remedies. You must register your grievance on the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) by calling 1915 or visiting consumerhelpline.gov.in.
Court/Arbitration: If pre-litigation fails, file a formal complaint for “Deficiency of Service” against Bigtree Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. You can file this case entirely online with the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission using the government’s unified e-Jagriti portal (e-jagriti.gov.in).
Community Action: Is BookMyShow refusing to refund a cancelled concert ticket, or are you looking for the correct template to formally escalate a dispute to the Mumbai GRO? Reply below (do not share your passwords or full billing details), and our community will point you to the right resources!
