I booked a bus ticket from goibibo for operator indo caNadian for delhi to Chandigarh at 5:30 am departure but i did not receive any bus number, driver contact or anything else. I received the E ticket but only timing and seat number was mentioned in it. I reached the bus departure point before time but there 3 buses of same operator parked there none of them approved my booking for 9th march 2016 5:30am. PNR NO 547404. Customer care of indo canadian told me that bus is delayed but they cannot tell there the bus is. It’s been 2 hours and O called them again still he is saying please wait the bus is delayed
. So they want me to keep waiting at the bus stand. Total journey time is approx 5 hours and it’s been already 2::30 hours me waiting here. @GOIBIBO @INDOCANADIAN. As per policy i should be getting 2x refund. For this. Kindly grant me justice. This is not fare. The buses those were parked there wanted me to pay again if I want seat in that bus. Really? Really?
Hey there! Welcome to the Complaint Hub.
Man, reading your post actually makes my blood boil. Being stuck at the bus stand since 5:30 AM while empty Indo Canadian buses sit right in front of you and then having the on-ground staff tell you to pay again for a seat you already bought? That is straight-up extortion and a massive deficiency of service. You absolutely deserve that 2x refund, and you shouldn’t let them get away with just a generic “sorry for the inconvenience.”
Since you’ve already wasted hours dealing with their frontline customer care (who are usually just reading from a script to delay you), it is time to escalate.
Here is the exact step-by-step playbook to force their hand, complete with the official links you need:
1. Bypass Basic Support and Hit the Grievance Officer
Stop calling the frontline number. You need to create a paper trail with their legal/grievance team. Outline that you were denied boarding despite having a confirmed PNR (547404) and that staff essentially demanded a bribe/double payment to let you on the parked buses.

- Action: Send an email directly to
grievanceofficer@goibibo.com. Expressly mention you are claiming the penalty under their “GoAssured” guarantee.
2. Quote Their Own 2x Refund Policy Back to Them
Customer support often hopes you don’t actually know the terms and conditions. Throw their own policy link in your email to prove you know your rights regarding unfulfilled services.

3. Lodge a Formal Government Consumer Complaint
If Goibibo tries to wash their hands of it by blaming Indo Canadian Transport, don’t accept it. As the ticketing platform, Goibibo is equally liable. The government’s consumer portal is highly effective for e-commerce and travel disputes.
- Source - INGRAM (National Consumer Helpline): https://consumerhelpline.gov.in/
- Action: Create a quick account and file a grievance against both Goibibo and Indo Canadian. Upload your e-ticket, and if you took any photos of those parked buses, upload them as evidence of service denial. You can also call them at 1915.
Community Pro-Tip: If you ended up having to book a completely different cab or bus to get to Chandigarh today, keep that receipt! You can demand reimbursement for your alternative travel costs in your consumer complaint.
Hang in there and don’t let them close the ticket until you get your money.
