Industry: Virtual Digital Assets (Cryptocurrency Exchange)
Jurisdiction: India
Primary Regulator: FIU-IND (For AML Compliance Only - No Consumer Ombudsman exists)
Important Safety Warning: Beware of the “Fake Support Scam.” CoinDCX absolutely does not have a customer care phone number. Any phone number you find on Google claiming to be CoinDCX support is a scam. CoinDCX staff will never call you to ask for your account PIN, OTP, or ask you to transfer crypto to a “secure wallet” to troubleshoot a failed trade.
Level 1: Customer Support (Initial Complaint)
How to complain: Register your complaint (failed INR deposits, crypto withdrawal delays, or frozen accounts) exclusively by creating a ticket on the CoinDCX Support Portal (support.coindcx.com) or via the help section in the mobile app. You can also email support@coindcx.com as a fallback. You must ensure you receive a unique “Ticket Number” - without this number, the internal grievance team will outright reject your escalation.
Availability: The automated ticketing portal operates 24x7.
Timeline: CoinDCX aims to acknowledge complaints and resolve Level 1 issues within 24 to 48 hours, though complex blockchain technical issues may take longer.
Level 2: Formal Corporate Escalation (Grievance Officer)
Who to contact: If Level 1 support fails, your funds remain blocked, or your account is restricted without a valid explanation, you must escalate to the Grievance Officer. You must email your formal grievance, clearly stating your original Level 1 Ticket Number, to grievance@coindcx.com.
Timeline: Under the Information Technology Rules, 2021, the Grievance Officer must acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days of receipt.
Level 3: Administrative Mediation (National Consumer Helpline)
Authority: Because India does not have a dedicated regulatory ombudsman for cryptocurrency disputes, you cannot escalate to the RBI or SEBI. If CoinDCX’s Grievance Officer rejects your claim or ignores you after 15 days, your next step is administrative mediation through the Department of Consumer Affairs.
Portal/Contact: Register your grievance on the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) by calling the toll-free number 1915 or visiting consumerhelpline.gov.in. For critical security issues like a hacked account or stolen crypto, you must immediately report the cybercrime via the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in or call 1930.
Level 4: Legal Action & Arbitration (Final Step)
Pre-Litigation & Legal Notice: If NCH mediation fails, you must prepare for formal litigation. You must first send a physical Legal Notice via registered post to their official registered corporate headquarters: Neblio Technologies Private Limited, B Tower, 4th Floor, Unit No. 2, Times Square, Andheri Kurla Road, Near Mittal Estate, Andheri East, Mumbai, Maharashtra – 400059.
Court/Arbitration: You can file a formal complaint with the appropriate District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission against Neblio Technologies Private Limited. You can file your consumer case entirely online using the government’s unified e-Jagriti portal (e-jagriti.gov.in). Additionally, as per CoinDCX’s Terms of Use, disputes are also subject to binding arbitration, which can be initiated concurrently.
Timeline: You must file the consumer case within two years from the date the cause of action occurred.
Community Action: Is CoinDCX refusing to unfreeze your INR withdrawals after 15 days, or are you looking for the correct template to formally escalate a missing crypto deposit to the Mumbai Grievance Officer? Reply below (do not share your passwords, bank details, or your exact wallet addresses), and our community will point you to the right resources!
