Complaint Regarding Non-Delivery of Indane Gas Cylinder

Dear Sir/Madam

I have received an SMS stating that my LPG cylinder (Invoice No. 5-106180550329) has been delivered. However, I have NOT received the cylinder. I did not share any OTP.
This is a serious issue of wrong/fake delivery. I strictly request immediate re-delivery of the cylinder at my address. Refund is not acceptable.
If not resolved immediately, I will escalate this to higher authorities.

Dear @mohammad_zafiruddin,

We completely understand your frustration. Receiving a “delivered” message without actually getting the cylinder—and without sharing your mandatory Delivery Authentication Code (DAC/OTP)—is a serious issue. It indicates either severe negligence, a system manipulation to meet delivery quotas, or outright diversion of your subsidized cylinder by the delivery personnel.

Because we are an independent citizen advocacy platform, we cannot directly dispatch the cylinder to your home. However, you have strong grounds to force IndianOil (Indane) to investigate this fake delivery and mandate a re-delivery.

Please take the following steps immediately to escalate this issue:

1. Call the Central LPG Helpline (1906)

Dial 1906 (the 24/7 toll-free National LPG Helpline). Register a formal complaint for “Fake Delivery/Delivery without OTP.” Provide them with your Invoice No. (5-106180550329). This centralized system tracks distributor anomalies very strictly.

2. Lodge a Grievance on the IndianOil Portal

Log in to the official portal at cx.indianoil.in or use the IndianOil ONE app.

  • Navigate to the “LPG” section and select “Complaints.”
  • Choose the category related to “Non-delivery of cylinder.”
  • In the description, explicitly state: “Cylinder marked delivered without OTP/DAC. I demand immediate physical delivery of my cylinder, not a refund, and an investigation into the delivery boy.”

3. Public Escalation (Fastest Response)

Oil Marketing Companies are very responsive to public complaints. Post your issue on X (formerly Twitter). Tag @IndianOilcl and @MoPNGeSeva (the Ministry of Petroleum’s official grievance handle). State your consumer number, the invoice number, and that the delivery was marked complete without an OTP.

4. Confront the Distributor

Contact your local Indane distributor directly. Sometimes, delivery personnel mark cylinders as “delivered” at the end of the day to meet their performance targets and physically deliver them the next morning. Let the agency manager know that if the cylinder is not at your door today, you will be filing a formal complaint against their agency for black-marketing.

Make sure to keep the SMS you received safe, as it is your primary proof of the unauthorized system update!
