Concern about safety

Dear Respected Sir/Madam,

I’m writing to bring to your attention a pressing safety concern regarding the ongoing gas pipeline construction in Om Vihar, Uttam Nagar. As a soon-to-be IGL Gas customer, I’m alarmed by the potential hazards posed by the pipeline’s placement.

The pipeline has been laid in front of my house (D-81, Om Vihar Phase 5, 40ft road, near Madina Masjid, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi 110059) and is attached to four valves, which are dangerously close to our water pipeline and sewer tank. This setup poses a significant risk of damage to the gas pipeline, especially when we need to perform maintenance work on our sewer or water lines. The consequences could be catastrophic and life-threatening.

Despite my repeated requests to the contractor to relocate the pipeline to a safer distance, they have refused to take action and are not responding to my concerns. I’ve also attempted to contact IGL’s customer support and senior officials, but my concerns have fallen on deaf ears.

As a resident living with my mother and two sisters, I’m worried about our safety and well-being. I urge you to forward my concern to the relevant team or person and take immediate action to address this issue. Time is of the essence, as the pipeline’s completion will only exacerbate the risks.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to a positive response.

Sincerely,

Neelam
