A man in Noida has been arrested for helping a fraud gang by using his bank account to move money. The gang tricked people into thinking they were in legal trouble and needed to pay money to avoid being arrested. This scam is called a “digital arrest” fraud.
The scammers would call or message people, acting like they were from the police or law offices, and scare them into sending money.
