Important Safety Warning: Beware of the “Fake Property Gate-Pass Scam.” Scammers frequently post fake premium listings (often army personnel impersonators) and ask you to pay a “token amount” or “gate pass fee” via UPI before they show you the property. This is a scam. Housing.com will never ask for an upfront gate-pass fee. Also, beware of fake customer care numbers found on Google search.
Level 1: Customer Support (Initial Complaint)
How to complain: Do not search for random phone numbers online. Open the Housing.com App or website and navigate to the ‘Help & Support’ section to log your initial ticket or report a fraudulent listing. You can email their central support desk at support@housing.com. You can also call their official toll-free customer care helpline at 1800-313-4777. You must ensure you receive a unique ticket or reference number.
Availability: The customer care helpline and email desk operate Monday to Saturday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM IST.
Timeline: Standard resolution for account issues, premium service delays, or fake listings is typically within 24 to 48 hours.
Level 2: Internal Escalation (Grievance Officer)
Who to contact: If Level 1 fails to resolve your issue, or if you have a dispute regarding premium subscription refunds, fake listings, or data privacy, you must escalate it internally to the legal entity operating Housing.com (Locon Solutions Pvt. Ltd.). Write an email to the designated Grievance Officer (currently Mr. Madhankumar Naidu). You must email your formal grievance, clearly stating your original Level 1 ticket number, to compliance@housing.com and CC support@housing.com.
Timeline: Under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and IT Rules 2021, the grievance desk must legally acknowledge your complaint within 24 to 48 hours and resolve it within 15 to 30 days from the date of receipt.
Level 3: Regulatory Authority (National Consumer Helpline)
Authority: Department of Consumer Affairs (National Consumer Helpline).
Portal/Contact: Do not go to RERA for platform-level disputes. If Housing.com’s Grievance Officer rejects your claim, or the company fails to address a severe deficiency in service (like failing to provide verified owner contacts after you paid for a premium subscription), you have exhausted internal remedies. You must register your grievance on the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) by calling 1915 or visiting consumerhelpline.gov.in.
Level 4: Legal Action (Final Step)
Pre-Litigation: Ensure you have documented all correspondence, including screenshots of fake listings and the final rejection from the Grievance Officer, to serve as evidence. Written legal notices must be sent via physical post (Registered Post AD) to their registered corporate headquarters: Grievance Officer, Locon Solutions Private Limited, Echelon Square, Plot No. 25, Sector – 32, Gurugram, Haryana – 122001.
Court/Arbitration: If pre-litigation fails, file a formal complaint for “Deficiency of Service” or “Unfair Trade Practices” against Locon Solutions Private Limited. You can file this case entirely online with the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission using the government’s unified e-Jagriti portal (e-jagriti.gov.in).
Community Action: Is Housing.com refusing to refund a premium subscription after sharing fake listings, or did a verified agent defraud you? Reply below (do not share your passwords or full billing details), and our community will point you to the right resources!
