I registered a complaint against Garudavega Logistics, Coimbatore on 11.02.2026 in NCH regarding money loss, lost goods, and unsatisfactory services of this company. I choose their service in December 2025, to ship some courier to Germany. What I got here was damaged goods, and lost goods. They were not ready to do the compensation or any resolution.
Eventhough the complaint was filed under grievance number 8686882. No actionz were taken or any solution were provided.
Dear @ashwin_joseph_wilson,
It is incredibly frustrating to trust a logistics partner with international cargo, only to receive damaged goods, lose items entirely, and then be met with absolute silence.
When dealing with structural complaint escalations, we know exactly how these backend systems work: the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) is merely a pre-litigation mediation tier. It does not possess judicial powers. If a company like Garudavega Logistics chooses to simply ignore the NCH notice (Grievance #8686882), the helpline cannot force a refund - they eventually just close the ticket and advise you to approach the consumer court.
Since the mediation tier has completely failed, it is time to move to formal legal escalation. Here is the exact matrix to force accountability for this deficiency in service:
Serve a Formal Legal Notice
Before approaching the court, you must send a formal legal notice under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Address it to their Coimbatore office and their corporate headquarters. Demand the declared value of the lost/damaged goods, a refund of the shipping fees, and compensation for mental agony. Send this via India Post Speed Post with Acknowledgment Due (AD) to create an undeniable paper trail.
Transition to the e-Jagriti Portal
Once the 15-day notice period expires without a resolution, you have the legal right to file a formal case. Since NCH failed, transition your grievance directly to the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission using the unified e-Jagriti portal. You do not need to hire an advocate for this; you can represent yourself.
Establish Carrier Liability
When uploading your evidence to e-Jagriti, explicitly state that Garudavega acted as a “bailee” of your goods. Under the law, the burden of proof is on the logistics company to prove they took reasonable care of your shipment. Attach your booking receipt, photos of the damaged goods, the list of lost items, and the unanswered NCH grievance document.
Pro Tip: In your e-Jagriti filing, heavily emphasize that their failure to respond to a government portal (NCH) demonstrates willful negligence and unfair trade practices. Consumer commissions frequently award higher punitive damages when companies ignore pre-litigation notices.
