Serious Fraud, Wrong AWB, Wrong PIN, Overcharging & Threatening Behavior by DTDC Staff (Mr. Yashwant) – Request for Immediate Action

A serious case of fraud, cheating, misdelivery, overcharging, and threatening behavior done by one of your DTDC office staff Mr. Yashwant.

Incident Details:

  1. I handed over my entire parcel/material to DTDC office staff Mr. Yashwant for courier service.
  2. He charged me for High-Speed / Premium Courier Service, but instead sent my parcel through the slowest and cheapest service
  3. He sent me a fake/incorrect AWB number: G92215059, which showed “Tracking Number Not Found” for many days.
  4. Later, when I checked the actual parcels, the AWB numbers were G92267461001 / G92267461002 / G92267461003.
  5. He also cut and changed my correct PIN code, and sent the parcel to a wrong PIN/location.
Because of this, I was forced to travel 150 km to collect my parcel, which caused financial loss and serious inconvenience.
  6. After one week, when my parcel did not arrive, I called and messaged him continuously for 2–3 days, but he completely ignored all my calls and messages.
  7. I then sent my friend to the DTDC office.
At that time, the same staff lied that he doesn’t know anything and said the parcel boy is “on leave for 1 week”.
  8. But when my friend sent me the photo, I identified him clearly it was the same person (Mr. Yashwant) who took my parcel and payment.
  9. When my friend questioned him about the fraud and no-response, the staff threatened my friend and told him to leave the office immediately.
  10. This behavior is completely unprofessional, dishonest, and amounts to fraud and customer harassment.

This is a clear case of:

  1. Providing fake AWB
2.Changing customer’s PIN code and misrouting parcel
    3.Cheating and overcharging
    4.Sending parcel by wrong service
    5.Lying and avoiding calls/messages
    6.Threatening the customer’s representative
7.Misusing DTDC services for personal benefit

This has caused me financial loss, mental harassment, and unnecessary travel of 150 km.

I request DTDC to take immediate actions:

  1. Start a full investigation against staff Mr. Yashwant, 7447870254, who is responsible.
  2. Take strict disciplinary action for fraud, negligence, and misbehavior.
  3. **Refund the excess amount charged from me for High-Speed Courier.
  4. Provide a written explanation and resolution for this misconduct.
  5. Ensure such incidents do not happen again with any customer.

I am attaching all supporting proofs:

  • Fake AWB number screenshot
  • Correct AWB numbers
  • Payment details
  • Call logs
  • Chat messages
  • Photo proof from office
  • Parcel delivery details and wrong PIN proof

Please take strict action as this matter is extremely serious and has caused me significant loss.

Amit Basumatary
