A recent data breach at Star Health Insurance has exposed the personal information of over 3.12 crore customers.
The hacker, known as “xenZen,” is allegedly selling this data, including sensitive details such as names, PAN numbers, medical histories, and insurance claims, for $150,000. The breach reportedly involves 7.24 TB of data, which is being offered in smaller portions as well.
Star Health has confirmed the breach and stated that they are conducting a forensic investigation with the help of cybersecurity experts.
The company has denied claims that the data was sold by an insider and is working with regulatory authorities to manage the incident.
