In my opinion, today’s politics seems more entangled in self-interest and the race for power than in public welfare. Many big promises and schemes often remain limited to electoral gains. The lack of transparency and accountability weakens the trust of the common people.
However, in this digital age, awareness is increasing, and people have started asking questions. The younger generation should now take an active role in politics to ensure policies are people-centric and corruption is controlled.
The true purpose of politics should be the development of society and the progress of the nation, not merely attaining power.
