Sir,
We are facing severe water shortage the last six months. Our RR No. E2306954. Location 1st Cross, Lakkamma Layout, Horamavu Agara, Horamavu Post, Bengaluru - 560 113, Name Mrs. Sunitha.
All neighbours are getting with good force except my house. Please rectify the problem.
Dear @Johny,
It is incredibly frustrating to pay for a water connection and watch your neighbors receive high-pressure supply while your own sump remains dry for six months.
Because your neighbors are receiving water with good force, we know that the main BWSSB (Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board) pipeline in Horamavu Agara is functioning perfectly. This means the issue is strictly isolated to your specific connection line (RR No. E2306954). Technically, this is almost always caused by one of three things: a blocked ferrule (the valve connecting your individual pipe to the main line), heavy silt/debris clogging your water meter, or a severe airlock in your service pipe.
Standard customer care complaints often get ignored for isolated line issues because the overarching area shows as “supplied” in their system. To get this rectified, you must push this through a structured, multi-phase escalation record.
Phase 1: The Initial Diagnostic
Before escalating to the government, hire a local plumber to check the pipe after the water meter. If the blockage is inside your property line, BWSSB will not fix it. If the plumber confirms the blockage is at the meter or at the street-level ferrule, do not let them tamper with it, as that is BWSSB property and tampering carries a heavy fine.
Phase 2: Jala Spandana Docket Generation
You must create a traceable digital footprint. Call the BWSSB 24/7 toll-free helpline at 1916 or use the BWSSB Jala Spandana portal.
Register the complaint strictly under the category: “No Water Supply / Low Pressure.”
Provide your RR No. (E2306954).
Ensure you receive a digital docket/complaint number via SMS.
Phase 3: Physical Escalation to the AEE
If the issue is a clogged ferrule, a desk agent cannot fix it; it requires a BWSSB ground engineer to physically dig and clean the valve.
Take a written application (mentioning your RR number, the 1916 docket number, and the 6-month duration) directly to the Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of your local BWSSB Subdivision.
Clearly state in the letter: “Main line pressure is verified as excellent by neighboring connections. Requesting immediate physical inspection and cleaning of the ferrule and meter for RR No. E2306954.”
