If you’re facing a distressing situation with someone impersonating you on Facebook, it’s a good idea that you’ve contacted the police and filed a GD.

To help Facebook address this issue, I recommend the following steps:

  1. Report to Cyber Police: Contact the Cyber Police by calling the toll-free helpline number 1930 or using the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal.

  2. Report to Facebook: Visit the fake profile on Facebook, click on the three dots option, and choose “Report”. Select “Report Fake Profile” and submit it with a detailed explanation of the situation. Include your GD number as evidence.
