In any society, if any society member group is using clubhouse for learning garba, society is prohibiting to do that they don’t provide anything for any activity, is this illegal?

In our society
We could not use club house … because committee members r prohibiting from entering library and club house … we just want to learn garba

They says that commercial use k liye nahi hai

While every other society is providing everything for this

What should we do ?

Dear @Hemali_Ranpara ,

If the society committee has denied access to the clubhouse and library, you can initially try to re-engage with the Social Committee, perhaps with a small group of people who share your interest in learning garba.

You can also negotiate or propose a plan outlining how you’d use the space for learning garba, highlighting that it’s for educational and cultural purposes rather than commercial gain. You could offer to have specific times and days for practice to minimize any disruption.

Maybe you can agree to a small fee or contribute in some way to cover expenses.

If you feel that the committee’s decision is unreasonable and you’ve exhausted all other options, you can request a Community Vote to the entire society on whether or not to allow Garba to practice in the clubhouse.

Hopefully, with these little communications and negotiations, you may find a solution that works for everyone.
