Why Register on SHe-Box?

SHe-Box is designed to provide a safe, single-window platform for women across India to register complaints of workplace sexual harassment. Once submitted, the complaint is automatically sent to the relevant authority for further action, helping to create a safer workplace environment as per the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013.

Steps to Register a Complaint on SHe-Box

Step 1: Access the SHe-Box Portal

  1. Go to https://shebox.wcd.gov.in.
  2. After you visit the website, click on the “Register Your Complaint” tab on the home screen.
  3. Choose either Central Government or State Government based on your employment sector.

Step 2: Complainant Details

  1. Complainant Behalf: Select if you’re filing on behalf of yourself (Self) or for Another person.
  2. Work Status: Choose your current work status.
  3. Name of Complainant: Enter your full name.
  4. Mobile Number: Provide a valid contact number.
  5. Email ID: Enter a working email address for further communication.

Step 3: Workplace Details

  1. Workplace Details: Fill in details about the location where the incident occurred.
  2. Select Ministry/Department (if applicable): For government employees, select the relevant ministry or department.
  3. Select State and District: Choose the state and district where your workplace is located.

Step 4: Respondent (Accused) Details

  1. Name of Respondent (Accused): Enter the name of the person against whom the complaint is filed.
  2. Designation of Respondent: Provide the respondent’s job title.
  3. Email ID & Mobile Number of Respondent: (If known) This information can help identify the individual.
  4. Working Relationship: Describe your working relationship with the respondent.
  5. Are Details of the Respondent’s Workplace the Same as Yours? Select Yes or No if their workplace differs.

Step 5: Complaint Details

  1. Prior Complaints with IC: Select Yes if you have already filed with your organization’s Internal Committee (IC), otherwise, choose No.
  2. Type of Harassment: Choose the type of harassment faced.
  3. Brief Description: Describe the incident, including all relevant details (up to 500 words).
  4. Upload Supporting Documents: Attach any relevant documents (PDF, JPEG, PNG only, max size 2MB).

Once all sections are completed, review your information and submit the complaint. Your complaint will be sent directly to the appropriate authority for action.
