I recently visited Sri Chaitanya Techno School in Thane, located on Kalyan-Murbad Road, to inquire about my daughter’s admission. The school representative provided information about the curriculum and other details, and we were about to leave, deciding to discuss everything at home. However, the representative insisted that we pay a nominal fee to book the admission, assuring us that if there were any issues, we could cancel and receive a refund, with only the application form fee being deducted.
Now, when I try to cancel the admission due to concerns about the distance, the school faculty is refusing to refund any amount. It’s disappointing that they are taking this approach to generate revenue, and if this is how the institution operates, it won’t be sustainable in the long run.
I have not submitted any original documents to the school, as I only paid the admission booking fee.
I have paid 6000 in total to school( Rs.5000 to school and Rs.1000 in teachers personal account)
Dear @Nitin_Mishra
We understand your frustration regarding the non-refund of the ₹6,000 admission booking fee by Sri Chaitanya Techno School in Thane. To address this issue:
- Review the School’s Refund Policy: Examine any documents or receipts provided during the payment to identify terms related to refunds. Some institutions have specific policies regarding refundable and non-refundable fees.
- Communicate with School Authorities: Draft a formal letter detailing your refund request, referencing any verbal assurances received during the payment. Submit this letter to the school’s administration and retain a copy for your records.
- Approach the School’s Governing Body: If direct communication with the school doesn’t yield results, escalate the matter to the school’s governing body or management committee, presenting all relevant documentation.
