Complaint Regarding Engine Repair Charges Under Extended Warranty

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my vehicle’s engine repair, which I believe should be covered under the Maruti Suzuki Extended Warranty (Royal Platinum) that I purchased.

Vehicle Details:

Vehicle number: UP32MK4924

Owner Name: Ayush Pratap Singh

Vehicle Model: Maruti Suzuki Ciaz

VIN Number: MA3EXGL1S00439007

Extended Warranty Number: EW4708568

Warranty Validity: Till 25-Oct-2026 or 1,00,000 km

I recently faced an issue with my car’s engine, and upon visiting an authorized Maruti Suzuki service center, I was asked to pay for the repairs despite having a valid extended warranty. At the time of purchasing the vehicle, no one explained these conditions, and the terms were not made clear to me.

As per the extended warranty terms, Maruti Suzuki is obligated to repair or replace defective parts without any cost for parts or labor. However, I am being charged for repairs, which contradicts the warranty coverage.

I request a clear explanation regarding:

  1. Why is my engine repair not covered under the extended warranty?

  2. Why was I not informed about these exclusions at the time of purchase?

  3. What actions will Maruti Suzuki take to resolve this issue?

I urge you to look into this matter urgently and provide me with a resolution at the earliest. If no satisfactory response is received, I may be forced to escalate this matter to higher authorities, including consumer protection forums.

Please treat this email as an official complaint and respond at the earliest. I look forward to your prompt reply.

Best Regards,

Ayush Pratap Singh
