Faulty Meter not rectified

I am a licensee for Shop No. 8, Cosmos Orchid Blossom, Ram Mandir Road, Kasarvadavali, Thane. Since August 2024, I have told the owner that the meter is faulty, for which I have the WhatsApp chats along with the pic and video. He said it is solved; however, I have noticed the same amount of consumption and a high bill amount. As a tenant, I don’t know if I can complain. Please help me to resolve this issue. To my surprise, the person who came to read the meter has also not escalated this issue to the concerned department.
I’m attaching the screenshot of the meter on the bill for this month. I’m getting a lump sum of around 6500 to 7000 bills since last August.
Hoping that my grievance will be herd and promp action will be taken
Thanks & Regards

Dear @Bruno_Preschool

To help you resolve your faulty meter issue, we need to know the name of your electricity distributor (e.g., Adani Power, MSEDCL, or another).

In the meantime, you may record a new video and take photos of the faulty meter itself. Then, visit the nearest power station or service centre of your electricity distributor to file a formal complaint in person. Make sure to obtain a receipt or acknowledgement number as proof of your complaint. This will help track the status of your complaint. The WhatsApp chats and photos you already have are helpful, but an in-person complaint with supporting documentation is generally more practical.

Let us know the name of your electricity distributor, and we’ll see if we can provide more specific guidance.

In the case of MSEDCL, read this: How can you file electricity complaints of Maharashtra Electricity Board (MSEDCL)?
