I have got an increased electric bill which is impossible as the area has been used hardly 1 hour a day. Regular bill was beyond ₹1200 per month. Currently i have been sent with a bill amount of ₹ 7770.
With this situation I’m not able to how to complaint against this. And whom to address. The authority is saying that the sent amount must be filled on time. I’m not in a position to pay such a big amount.
With regards
Dear @banishree_panda
To dispute the inflated electricity bill of ₹7770, first file a written complaint with your local electricity board’s customer service, citing your average usage and requesting a meter recheck. Include past bills as proof. If they insist on payment without investigation, escalate the matter to the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF) of your electricity provider. You may also file a complaint at the National Consumer Helpline.
Please share the name of the power distribution company and location so we can help you to resolve your problem.
