How can you file postal service complaints of India Post?

If you have complaints about shipment & postal services (express or speed post) of India Post such as Mails/Money orders (Delivery of parcels, logistics, pension, payment or money transfer, and other items), international mail or postal articles (including money transfer/ money remittance), Post Office Savings Bank, Savings Certificate, Postal Life Insurance, and Rural Postal Life Insurance, follow these steps and use the provided helplines & contact details of Department of Posts (Indian Postal Services):

  • Customer Care Number: For e-Post office issues (pending order, refund, etc.), call the helpline number +911123372637 or +911123096070.

For complaints related to India Post Payment Bank, call to 155299 / 18004252440 or email to dopebanking@indiapost.gov.in / contact@ippbonline.in. To ATM block/transaction, instantly call at 18008899860.

You can also submit a written complaint at the transaction post office or Office of Senior Superintendent/Superintendent of Posts Offices.

Steps to File an Online Complaint:

  • Visit the official India Post website’s “Complaint Registration (indiapost.gov.in)” page.
  • You can also select the “Help & Support” section of the menu.
  • Complete all mandatory fields with transaction and complaint details by providing your consignment/ref number, type of service, article number, transaction number, booking office details, and a detailed description of the complaint.
  • Upload any relevant documents (up to 500 KB).
  • Submit the form.

Finally, note down the reference number for tracking. You can also use the India Post app for postal services. If not resolved, contact the post office in-charge of the respective post office.

Escalate to Chief Postmaster General:
