The Maharashtra Police has assigned an Inspector General of Police (IG) for each Range in Maharashtra who is responsible for the law enforcement activities within districts of the respective Range. If your previously filed police complaints or FIR is not addressed by the District Superintendent of Police (SP) and local police station, you can escalate the case to the Range Inspector General at this level.
