I received a traffic challan for allegedly crossing a signal without a helmet, but no photo or video evidence was provided. I emailed the eChallan helpdesk requesting verification or withdrawal, but they replied saying only the challaning department can handle such cases. I’ve asked how to contact the challaning department, but haven’t received a response. Could someone please guide me on how to proceed or whom to approach for evidence or dispute resolution?
Dear @yashwanth_cb
To dispute the traffic challan without evidence, visit your local traffic police headquarters or the challenging department mentioned on the challan. Carry a copy of the challan, your ID, and your written email record with the eChallan helpdesk.
Please share the name of city/district, so we can help you in this case. Additionally, you can lodge an online complaint to the Traffic Police through eChallan Portal (echallan.parivahan.gov.in).
You can also submit an online grievance through your state’s traffic police portal or the state grievance portal for escalation.
