If you want to file a police complaint or e-FIR for cognizable/non-cognizable civil offences (including civil/criminal cases, citizen services, theft, illegal activities, and police harassment) to Gujarat (GJ) Police, follow these steps or use the provided helplines or contact details to file your complaint with Gujarat Police:

Steps to file an online police complaint or e-FIR:

  1. Visit Gujarat Police’s official website (police.gujarat.gov.in).
  2. Click to “CCTNS Citizen Portal (gujhome.gujarat.gov.in)” from the citizen section.
  3. Choose “e-Application - Complaint/e-FIR” to open the online complaint form.
  4. Login or register yourself as a citizen.
  5. After successfully logging in, click “lodge a complaint” option to open the form.
  6. Fill out the form with required details by providing your details, incident details, victim information (if applicable), and any supporting documents.
  7. Submit the form.

Finally, note down the reference/case or acknowledgement number for tracking. You can also file an FIR at your local police station directly for serious offenses like theft, assault, or accidents. After lodging your FIR, don’t forget to obtain a free copy of the FIR and acknowledgment receipt as a proof.
