How can you file complaints about government offices to Uttarakhand State Grievance System (CM Helpline 1905)?

If you have complaints about government offices (including municipal corporations, panchayats, Nagar Palika/Parishad, police, etc.), departments, and ministries of the government of Uttarakhand, use the Uttarakhand State Grievance Redressal System (CM Helpline 1905) portal to lodge a public grievance to the respective public appellate authority of the state government.

You can file complaints about public services, demands (new roads, drainage, bridges, hospitals, schools, etc.), government schemes, corruption and misuse of power, and other issues regarding government services and offices.

To register your grievance, you can dial the toll-free Chief Minister’s helpline number 1905 or use the following steps and contact details to lodge a grievance online with the respective department.

:tipping_hand_man:t5: Note: You can also send a message on WhatsApp at +917302254182. For technical issues, email your concerns at cm-helpline@uk.gov.in.

Steps to file an online complaint:

  • Visit the official UK CM Helpline website (cmhelpline.uk.gov.in).
  • Navigate to the menu section.
  • Click on the “Register Complaint” option to open the online complaint form.
  • Enter your mobile number and verify it with the OTP (One-Time Password) sent to your phone.
  • Fill the grievance form with the required details including:
    • Complainant Details: Provide your name, address, district, and block.
    • Department: Select the relevant department and sub-department (if applicable). If the issue is related to a specific district office, provide that information as well.
    • Subject: Briefly summarize the nature of your complaint.
    • Description: Explain the details of your grievance with facts, including relevant dates, names, and any supporting evidence you have (within 500 words).
    • Attachments: If you have any documents, images, or videos that support your complaint, upload them here (maximum 10MB).
  • Review your information and submit the form.

Finally, note down the reference number you receive. You can track the status of your complaint by clicking on the “My Complaints” button on the portal’s menu or download the “UK CM HELPLINE 1905” app from the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS) to file and track complaints.

:tipping_hand_man:t5: Note: If your complaint isn’t resolved satisfactorily, the system has a four-level escalation process, starting with the designated officer and progressing to the appellate authority at the Uttarakhand Secretariat. If all else fails, you can approach the Chief Minister’s Office or relevant regulatory bodies. You have to re-submit your complaint including the reference number of the unresolved complaint to appeal with higher authorities.

If you need to access information from government offices, file an online Right to Information (RTI) request with the relevant department.
