Swiggy Instamart Delivered Contaminated Eggs – Health Hazard Ignored

I ordered a 30-piece egg crate from Swiggy Instamart (Order ID: 210782488237184) on 6th July 2025, and the product delivered contained live insects/worms inside the eggs – clearly a case of contaminated and unsafe food.

Despite raising the issue through chat support with photos, Swiggy only processed a ₹201 refund and later insulted me with a ₹50 coupon – as if this was a minor inconvenience.

This is a serious health risk, not a service delay. Swiggy failed to take any strong action against the vendor or offer accountability.

I have already filed a complaint with FSSAI and am preparing to file a Consumer Court

This is not just about my case – it’s about protecting other consumers from such negligence. I urge the community to support and demand accountability from Swiggy.

Call Swiggy’s helpline and insist on vendor accountability plus a full refund.

You may also file a complaint with the consumer forum or the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) and send a legal notice under the Consumer Protection Act.

I’ve already emailed Swiggy’s grievance team and support@swiggy.in yesterday regarding the issue.
Attached is the proof of the email sent, along with the order details and complaint description. I’ve also mentioned that I am ready to escalate the matter to FSSAI if no resolution is provided.

If the case is not resolved within 7 days, you should also file a consumer complaint with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) including the necessary details and responses from respective authorities.
