Filing an electricity complaint online:

  • Visit the PGVCL official website (pgvcl.com) or the GUVNL portal of the Gujarat Electricity Board.
  • Navigate to the ‘Contact Us’ or ‘Customer Support’ section pf PGVCL.
  • Click on the option to ‘Register/Login’ for submitting a complaint form online.
  • Fill in the required details such as your PGVCL Account Number, the location of the issue, and the nature of the problem.
  • Attach any supporting documents if available, like a copy of the bill or a photo of the faulty meter.
  • Submit the complaint and note down the reference number provided for future tracking.

Escalation to Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF):

If your complaint is not resolved satisfactorily by PGVCL customer service or sub-divisional or divisional public grievance cell, you can escalate it to the CGRF of PGVCL. You will need to provide your name, address, service connection or account number, and details of the complaint along with relevant documents.

You can submit a written grievance letter to your dedicated regional customer service centers at divisional offices or send it by post to CGRF Forums at Circle and Zonal Offices.

The CGRF aims to resolve complaints within a maximum of 45 days from the receipt of the grievance.

Approaching the Electricity Ombudsman:

If the CGRF does not resolve your complaint within the stipulated time, or if you are dissatisfied with their resolution, you can approach the Electricity Ombudsman of Gujarat.

You have to file your appeal within 30 days from the date of the CGRF’s order. There are no charges for submitting your petition to the Ombudsman.
