If you want to file a formal FIR in case of a cognizable offence, you have to visit the nearest local police station to submit your FIR to designated SHO.
Steps to file an online police complaint or e-FIR:
- Visit Chandigarh Police’s official website (chandigarhpolice.gov.in/).
- Navigate to “Service Rendered” from the menu.
- Choose “Complaint Registration” option.
- Click “Online Complaint Registration” to open the online complaint form.
- Fill out the form with details of incident, accused, victim, theft property (in case of theft), and supporting evidence.
- Submit form form.
