Complaint Against Jio AirFiber for False Promise and Non-issuance of Voucher After Relocation

To
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI),

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Jio AirFiber for failing to fulfill their promise regarding a voucher during my connection’s relocation, financial mismanagement, and lack of support even after multiple escalations.

Details of my case:

Connection Details: Registered mobile number.

Plan Details: I purchased a 1-year plan for ₹8,481.84.

Relocation: In February, I relocated to a new address. As per Jio’s process, I paid ₹1,000 for relocation. I was told this would be refunded.

Additional Payment Demanded: After installation at the new address, I was made to pay another ₹2,221.46 and was informed that the balance of my 1-year plan would be adjusted and provided as a voucher within 90 days.

Delay and False Commitments: Three times in June, Jio gave different dates for voucher resolution and finally assured July 31. That date has also passed, but my issue remains unresolved.

Service Disconnection and Late Fees: After over 90 days, my connection was disconnected for 2 months. Instead of providing the promised voucher, Jio began charging late fees for unpaid dues.

No Proper Response: I have called customer care and repeatedly written emails, but received no satisfactory reply. My case remains unresolved despite filing a complaint in the consumer court (Grievance No: 7246893).

This experience has caused me financial loss and mental distress due to delays, false promises, unwarranted charges, and lack of basic customer support.

I request TRAI to:

Investigate Jio’s practices regarding relocations, billing, and voucher promises.

Ensure speedy resolution of my pending voucher/dues and refund any excess amounts collected.

Direct Jio to provide compensation for the mental agony and harassment I have faced due to their negligence and misinformation.

Thank you for your attention and support.

Sincerely,
SK SHAMEEM
