i live in pryagraj, recently installed earth in my home and while checking the voltage between earth and neutral it results around 60-65v ideally it should be between 0-5v.
I have complained about it but the line man after visiting said that he has no knowledge and equipment to resolve the problem.Later i mailed all the upper authorities in PUVVNL but non of them responded, its been 10 days and no one responded on he mail
Because of the problem my motherboard is getting faulty, the motherboard company said the earth to neutral should be 3v ,who will pay for my loss?
Dear @Play_Zeek ,
If your earth-to-neutral voltage is 60-65V (it should be 0-5V) and PUVVNL isn’t responding, try this:
-
File Complaint Again: Go to Contact Us | Official Website of Purvanchal Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Limited, Varanasi, India and register your complaint with proof (emails, earlier complaint).
-
Contact UPPCL: Call 1912 or complain at https://www.uppcl.org.
-
Legal Action: If no response, file a consumer complaint for damage to your motherboard.
-
Voltage Test: Get a licensed electrician to check the earthing and neutral. Share the company’s requirement (3V max).

i hired two electricians and both of them said that the problem is from company end.
please help me what to do :((
Dear @Play_Zeek
In this case, you have only one option that may work, visit your PuVVNL sub-station and write an application to the designated Junior Engineer (JE) or Assistant Engineer and also show the video as proof with the reference number of the previously lodged complaints at the UPPCL’s grievance portal.
Further, you can take action by lodging a public grievance to the Department of Energy of the Government of Uttar Pradesh through the Jansunwai Portal. For more help, read this: How can you file complaints about government offices to Dept. of Public Grievance through Jansunwai (Samadhan) of Uttar Pradesh?

so after 20 days, today after escalating the issue to higher authorities 2 guys with J.E visited my house and were clueless about the problem, importance of earth, they arrived without any proper equipment, dint even know about the neutral to ground voltage readings.
the transformer in my locality is not properly grounded(its grounded with only a nail instead of proper earthing rods) when i told them they said its ok and went off saying they’ll close the complaint as no one else is having this issue…
please tell me what to do
Even after escalation, the issue with your power supply’s grounding remains unresolved. Since the JEs were unable to resolve the problem, please resubmit your complaint through the Jansunwai Portal. Include the reference number of your previous complaint when you resubmit so your grievance is properly tracked and escalated to the higher office of the PuVVNL.
You should detail the transformer’s inadequate grounding (grounded with only a nail) and the JEs’ lack of knowledge and equipment. The more detail you provide, the better. If your current grievance is closed, you will receive a call and message. In this case, visit the Jansunwai grievanec portal, fill out the feedback form, your complaint will be automatically escalated to senior officials.
