How can I file flight complaints to Indigo?

Whether it’s a flight cancellation or delay, lost baggage, a booking error, difficulties with online check-in, or problems with refunds or customer service, you can file these complaints to IndiGo to address your concerns by following these instructions:

Contact Indigo Customer Care

  • Helpline Number: Call IndiGo’s customer service helpline at +911246173838 or +911244973838 for immediate assistance. The other numbers can be found on their official website or on your flight ticket.
  • WhatsApp: Send your message to +917428081281.

If you are from China, call the international customer care number +862022503838 to report the issue.

Online Complaint Filing:

  1. Visit IndiGo Website: Go to the official IndiGo website and navigate to the “Contact Us” or “online complaint form (goindigo.in)” through customer support section.
  2. Select Issue: Choose the relevant category for your complaint (e.g., booking, baggage, refund).
  3. Provide Details: Fill in all required fields with your flight information, ticket ID, personal details, and a thorough description of the issue.
  4. Submit: Review your complaint for accuracy and submit it.

Escalate to Nodal Authority:

If your complaint remains unresolved after initial contact with Indigo customer care, escalate it to the nodal officer or appellate authority by email here:

:office_worker:t5: Note: If your complaints are still not resolved by Indigo, lodge your grievance with the AirSewa Nodal Officer.

What to include in your complaint:

  • Customer detail: Include your full name, contact information, and booking reference number.
  • Detailed Description: Clearly explain the issue, providing dates, times, flight numbers, and any previous interactions with customer service.
  • Supporting Evidence: Attach any relevant documents, such as tickets, boarding passes, or receipts.
  • Desired Resolution: Specify the outcome you seek, whether it’s a refund, compensation, or another solution.

:person_tipping_hand:t6: Tips:

  • Before booking tickets, you may familiarize yourself with IndiGo’s policies regarding flight cancellations, delays, refunds, and baggage compensation.
  • If you encounter an issue, report it to IndiGo as soon as possible. Delays in reporting may affect your eligibility for compensation or refunds.
  • Maintain copies of all relevant documents, such as tickets, boarding passes, baggage tags, and communication with IndiGo. These records will help support your complaint.

I’ve lodged a complaint to Indigo customer care reg. flight cancellation. As I’m not satisfied with their response raised in Airsewa too, where the nodal officer has enclosed the same remarks which I received from Indigo customer care team. Would like to know further about the alternative forums where my voice can be heard?

Thank You,

Best regards

Dear @Paruchuri_Prathap,

Since you are dissatisfied with the response from both Indigo customer care and AirSewa, you can escalate your complaint further.

You can contact the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) through its grievance redressal portal at Sugam DGCA.

Alternatively, you may also file a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) at consumerhelpline.gov.in or take legal action through a consumer court.

If still need help, reply to us.

Hi Team, I wrote a email citing all the details to sugam.dgca@nic.in and filed a grievance in consumer helpline portal. It’s been a month since i registered the complaint in both forums, I didn’t receive any response from them yet. Please advise.

Awaiting for the reply

Dear @Paruchuri_Prathap

Since you’ve already registered complaints with platforms like AirSewa, DGCA, and the Consumer Helpline but haven’t received a satisfactory resolution, here’s what you can do next:

  1. Follow Up and Escalate: Send follow-up emails to sugam.dgca@nic.in, referencing your original complaints and attaching previous communications. Politely request an update and emphasize the time elapsed.
  2. Contact Appellate Authorities: For Indigo-related complaints, escalate to their Nodal Officer or Appellate Authority.
  3. Approach Legal Forums: If you’re still dissatisfied, consider filing a case with the Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum through the E-DAAKHIL portal (https://edaakhil.nic.in/). Provide all evidence, including emails and complaint reference numbers.
  4. Seek RTI for Transparency: File an RTI (Right to Information) with DGCA to inquire about the status of your grievance if they remain unresponsive.

These steps will help escalate your concerns effectively. Let me know if you need more guidance!
