I am writing to raise a serious issue regarding our recent experience with MAHA Bus services. We had booked this trip with high expectations, especially since we were returning to India after 20 years to visit our grandmother. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely distressing.
Key Issues Faced:
Incorrect Boarding Point:
The boarding point mentioned in the ticket was incorrect.
The driver called us and instructed us to come to a completely different location at the last moment.
This caused a lot of confusion and stress. We had to rush with help from local pedestrians to find the bus.
Driver’s Unprofessional Attitude:
Upon boarding, we found our seats were blocked by someone else’s luggage.
When we asked the driver about it, he rudely responded, “What am I supposed to do? Go and manage yourself.”
This is not acceptable. It is the driver’s responsibility to ensure proper seating and maintain passenger dignity.
Seat Blocking with Bribes:
The passenger who had placed the luggage on our seats claimed he paid the driver money to keep his bags there.
This is deeply concerning and suggests possible corruption and misuse of authority.
Only after co-passengers raised their voice did he finally move his luggage.
Our Appeal:
We urge MAHA Bus management and concerned authorities to:
Investigate this issue seriously.
Take strict action against such drivers who tarnish the reputation of the service.
Ensure proper training and accountability for staff behavior.
Improve transparency and accuracy in boarding details to avoid similar experiences for other passengers.
This was an important journey for our family, and it turned into a distressing memory. We strongly recommend others avoid MAHA Bus until such issues are addressed.
