Despite receiving a confirmation email and paying the full amount in advance, my elderly parents, aged 75, were denied accommodation upon arrival. The hotel staff informed them that no booking had been received under their name. This unexpected situation caused significant stress and inconvenience, especially considering their age and unfamiliarity with the local language. They were forced to seek alternative accommodation at the last minute, incurring additional expenses and emotional distress.

Attempts to contact Agoda’s customer service for immediate assistance were unsuccessful, and no satisfactory resolution was provided. Furthermore, when I inquired about a refund, I was informed that, according to Agoda’s policy, no refund is possible after the check-in time. This policy is unacceptable in situations where the service promised was not delivered.

To address the denial of accommodation despite your confirmed booking and full payment, immediately file a complaint with Agoda customer support through their Help Center or email CustomerService@agoda.com referencing your Booking ID 1559298557. Clearly explain the situation, including your parents’ age and the distress caused.
