If you have complaints about public services, government offices (municipal corporation, gram panchayats, Nagar Palika/Parishad, police, etc.), departments, and ministries of Kerala, lodge an online public grievance to the Appellate Authority of respective departments through “Chief Minister’s Public Grievance Redressal Cell (CMPGRC)” of the government of Kerala.
You can complain about government schemes, demand for new services/infrastructure (hospitals, schools/universities, drainage/bridges, roads, etc.), corrupt practices or misuse of power by officials/employees, and other disputes (Land records, property disputes, public transportation, food supply, etc.).
Note: To register your complaint, call the toll-free helpline number 1076 or send an email at cmstraightforward@gmail.com. Additionally, you may send a letter via postal mail to the CMO Grievance Cell.
Steps to file an online complaint:
- Visit the CMO Public Grievance Cell portal (complaints.cmo.kerala.gov.in) or use the mobile app.
- Create an account if you’re a new user or log in to your registered account.
- Click on the “New Grievance/Application” button.
- Fill in the form with all required information, including:
- Your personal information
- Address (if necessary)
- Nature of the complaint
- Department/office involved
- Category and description of the grievance
- Upload any supporting documents (PDF format, max 5MB).
- Review your complaint and click “Submit.”
Finally, note down the reference/docket number to track your grievance status. You can use the portal or helpline number (0471-155300) to check the status of your complaint.
If your grievance is not resolved by designated officers, you can escalate it by re-submitting the online complaint to the following levels:
- First Appellate Officer (Public Grievance Officer)
- Second Appellate Officer (Head of the Department)
- Chief Minister’s Office (CMO)
You can also file a Right to Information (RTI) request for more information from government offices. For complaints against central government services, use the CPGRAMS portal.
