In your complaint, provide the following information:
- Your BESCOM Customer ID (found on your bill)
- Complaint category (power outage, billing, etc.)
- Location details
- Clear description of the issue and any supporting documents
You can also visit your local BESCOM office. If not resolved, escalate your complaints to the Internal Grievance Redressal Cell (IGRC) by visiting or contacting the sub-divisional or divisional office.
Steps to File an Online Complaint:
- Visit the BESCOM consumer portal - karnataka.gov.in.
- From online services, click “Register Online Complaint” to submit the complaint form.
- Provide your BESCOM Customer ID, Complaint Category, and Location of the Issue.
- Include a detailed description and any relevant supporting documents, such as bill copies or photographs.
- Submit your complaint online to Bangalore Electricity Board.
After submitting your complaints, note down the reference ID.
Escalate to Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF)
If your complaints are not resolved at your nearest divisional office by the customer service or IGR Cell of BESCOM, lodge a grievance with the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF) at the zonal offices.

Appeal to Electricity Ombudsman (EO)
If you’re still not satisfied with the CGRF’s decision, you can appeal to the Electricity Ombudsman of Karnataka within 30 days of the CGRF order.
Further, you may approach the High Court of Karnataka to challenge the final decision of the Ombudsman.
