Escalation and Arbitration

If your issues regarding trading members are not resolved through the initial complaint, escalate it to the Investor Grievance Redressal Committee (IGRC). This committee mediates disputes between investors and trading members. If an amicable solution is not reached, the IGRC is empowered to decide on claims of up to ₹25 lakh.

Arbitration:

For claims above ₹25 lakh or if the IGRC decision is challenged, the matter can be escalated to arbitration. Investors can apply for arbitration through the ODR Portal (smartodr.in). The arbitrator’s decision will be binding on both parties.

Approach to SEBI

If your complaint is not resolved by BSE, you can approach the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

You can file a complaint on “SEBI’s online SCORES portal” with all supporting evidence and reference numbers of the previously lodged complaints with BSE and other parties.

SEBI will address your grievances related to stock exchanges, brokers, and other capital market participants.
