Step 1: Report an Emergency:
For urgent issues, especially if you see downed power lines, leave the area immediately and call the emergency hotline at 1800-833-74761. Representatives are available 24/7.
Step 2: Contact Customer Service
For non-emergency electricity complaints, contact Customer Service at 1800-642-3780. They are available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. The best times to call are Tuesday to Thursday between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Step 3: TTY Numbers For TTY service

Step 6: Public Utility Commission
If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, you can contact the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU).

You will receive an authorization code and further instructions via email.
