I have booked hotel in Nainital through booking.com app. I checked-in little late though I confirmed my booking paying half amount. I was called by the property owner and was given location share through watsapp. After I arrived I found the hotel was 2 km away from the address which was being shown in the app while booking. Third class hotel. The amount which I was shown in the app and the hotel charged me was higher. Next day I found that it was showing my booking is cancelled in the booking.com app and the reason was clear that some kind of scam happened. Please never use this app in future to book any hotels.

First, you should report this incident to the customer support of Booking.com.
Further, you may file a consumer complaint to the National Consumer Helpline (NCH). For any financial fraud, you may complain to the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal or call t 1930.
