Further, you may lodge an FIR (First Information Report) that is a legal document filed at local police station or any police headquarters for cognizable offences, initiating a police investigation.

If the case involves cognizable offence and needed an instant investigation by police, you have to file an FIR to nearest local police station. Don’t forget to obtain the copy of FIR with reference/case number from SHO or designated officer free of cost.

Steps to file an online police complaint/e-FIR:

  1. Visit Odisha Police’s official website (odishapolice.gov.in).
  2. Navigate to “online service” page from the menu.
  3. Click Odisha Police’s CCTNS citizen portal (citizenportal-op.gov.in)
  4. Click “e-FIR” or “Complaint Registration” to open the online complaint form.
