Steps to file an online police complaint or e-FIR:
- Visit the Bihar Police’s official website (police.bihar.gov.in).
- Navigate to the " CCTNS Citizen Services" section of the menu.
- Click “Public Grievance or e-FIR” to open the online complaint form
- Select the “Lodge Complaint” option.
- Fill in the required details (personal information, incident details, etc.).
- Upload any supporting documents (if available).
- Submit the complaint.
Finally, note down the reference number for future tracking. You can also lodge an FIR for a cognizable offence (e.g. assault, murder, crime) at the nearest local police station with the designated officer or SHO. After filing your FIR, obtain a free copy of the FIR and acknowledgement receipt as proof.
