Steps to file an online police complaint or e-FIR:

  1. Visit the Bihar Police’s official website (police.bihar.gov.in).
  2. Navigate to the " CCTNS Citizen Services" section of the menu.
  3. Click “Public Grievance or e-FIR” to open the online complaint form
  4. Select the “Lodge Complaint” option.
  5. Fill in the required details (personal information, incident details, etc.).
  6. Upload any supporting documents (if available).
  7. Submit the complaint.

Finally, note down the reference number for future tracking. You can also lodge an FIR for a cognizable offence (e.g. assault, murder, crime) at the nearest local police station with the designated officer or SHO.
