You can file an online FIR (First Information Report) or police complaint regarding any incident (except cognizable offences) or case (theft, accident, civil disputes, etc.) with the Goa Police through the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) portal. Additionally, visit the nearest police station in person to formally submit your FIR in case of cognizable offence.
File an Online Complaint or e-FIR:
- Visit the official Goa Police CCTNS portal: https://citizen.goapolice.gov.in/
- Click “Register a complaint” or “Report a crime” from the menu
- “Register or log in” as a citizen.
- Choose “File Online FIR/Grievance Registration.”
- Fill out the e-FIR form with accurate details (name, contact, incident description, time, location, etc.).
- Upload any supporting documents (photos, videos, etc.).
- Submit the form and note your FIR number for future reference.
In-Person Complaint Registration: Visit the local police station closest to the incident location to lodge an FIR (especially in case of a cognizable offence), explain the incident to the officer-in-charge or duty officer, and provide all relevant details and any available evidence. Finally, obtain a copy of the complaint with your unique Complaint Number.
Note: For serious crimes (murder, rape, robbery), always file an FIR in person at the police station.
To report a cybercrime, call 1930 or file online complaints with the cyber police through the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal. Also, email to Cyber Police Station at picyber@goapolice.gov.in.
